No, Physiotherapists are first line health care practitioners so you do not need a prescription from a doctor for Physiotherapy. Some extended insurance companies require a doctor’s prescription in order to reimburse you, but our clinic does not need require a referral in order to treat you.

Registered Physiotherapists in Ontario will be able to order some diagnostic testing as soon as the rostering system with the College of Physiotherapists is created. This should be completed by the fall of 2023. Bill 179 does however allow Physiotherapists in Ontario to make a full diagnosis of an injury.

The clinic has an association with Medcentra which allows us to order private MRI at a cost to the patient. This can be done within a few days and allows our patients to get MRI's quicker.

Every injury is unique so length of treatment varies so it depends on the injury. After your initial assessment your Physiotherapist will give you an estimated length and course of treatment.

Treatments vary in duration and intensity. Appointments tend to range from 30 to 60 minutes.



A FCAMPT is a highest level trained manual therapist in Canada. Only 3% of Physiotherapists in Canada have their FCAMPT status. We have 1 of the 7 Physiotherapists in Oakville with this highest training. Several more our other therapists will be completing their exams to obtain the status.

Yes, we have been using the ImPACT concussion system and Sway Balance Concussion Management App and Protocol. To book a baseline test or post concussion assessment please call and book with Brian Empey our Registered Physiotherapist.


We require 24 hours notice if you have to cancel or change an appointment. If you do not give sufficient notice there is a $30 charge that must be paid prior to your next treatment.


You should wear something comfortable and stretchy that will enable your therapist to easily access the area that is being treated. If you need to change (i.e. into shorts or a t-shirt) we have a several change rooms.
